Going Nowhere Fast By Kati Wilde SHORT REVIEW

“I’m saying that I’ll return the damn sleeping bag when I get home, where no one’s waiting to toss his money into my face and tell me how worthless I am in comparison.”

-Aspen

‘You’re so fucking wrong for me,” he grinds out. “But I can’t stop wanting you.”

This was the perfect blend of enemies to lovers and best friend’s brother tropes. The chemistry and sexual tension between them were so strong. I honestly felt like I was melting. It was really spicy, probably a 4.5 out of 5 for me. Bram hated her at first, thinking she was a bad influence on his sister. Meanwhile, she was keeping a secret for that very sister, which only made things worse. His anger kept building until they went on vacation without the sister. I won’t spoil it, but that’s when everything started to shift. The pool kiss? Yeah, it was hot. From that moment on, her desire grew stronger, and Bram he was totally down bad for her. I actually cried while reading this. The arguments between them hit hard, especially since Bram believed she was hurting someone he’d do anything to protect. He’s the classic broken hero, which is one of my favorite tropes. Watching them slowly open up to each other emotionally was just beautiful. It was so emotionally satisfying. I’ll probably reread it later this year, because I truly loved it. There was just one small issue for me it wasn’t a dual POV story. We only get Bram’s thoughts in the epilogue. But I will reread.

Then the world spins and somehow I’m under him and his hands are in my hair. He growls my name against my lips, then his mouth is hot on mine, his tongue stroking deep.

“You need something, Aspen, you come to me,” he grates out and his dick is hard, so hot and hard for me. “Anything you need. I’ll give it. If you ever need anything. Say it.”

He’s literally gives everything she needs u know, just everything. There was this one scene where they were making out, and then on the way to the hotel, he suddenly pulls over to buy condoms. I was like, OMG. He wants her, and he’s not afraid to show it OMG. And then there is a scene that he said he’d been down bad for her since the moment they met. He’d been holding it in this whole time wanting her, needing her. He was barely holding himself together until now. OMG, it gave me a heart attack!

If you want to chat about this story, I’m totally up for it whether you’ve read it or not!
