The Heir Apparent’s Rejected Mate By Cate C. Wells, Five Packs #2 SHORT REVIEW

My mate, the future alpha, rejected me in front of the entire school, and I could probably eat him in three bites. Well, damn. Ain’t Fate a bitch.

“Well, as long as you understand that Cadoc might be sniffing your ass, but he’s never, ever gonna bite you. You’re a wet hole, bog trash, and if you’re really lucky, like your sister, you’ll get to play brood mare, and your fatherless pups can eat out of the allotment box, too.”

I’m a fool. I hate him. I’m so stupid, and I’m so screwed.

The book started really slow. I was kinda bored for the first 100 pages. But once the MCs had their scenes together, I got so addicted I stayed up late reading even though I needed sleep. I Love the pregnancy trope and that’s what pulled me into the plot. It’s definitely a slow burn, but the buildup made it worth it. My rating is 4.5 out of 5. There were only 2 spicy scenes and they weren’t super explicit but honestly? I still loved it. Also… I wished there were more she wolf scenes showing how powerful and terrifying she really was. There was one good moment, but I needed More of that energy! Still such a great read. I’ll probably reread this series in 2–3 years and I’m absolutely picking up the next book .

Rosie isn’t the scavenger who is my mate, the female who I can’t claim—she’s air. And I thought I could hold my breath forever?

My people respect me, but it’s my mate’s wolf that’s the real power in this pack, and everyone knows it.
